Antalya Nation’s Garden

1 / 21The Antalya City Museum Project covers a total area of 73,800 m². In the Antalya City Museum Project — of great importance for building a sense of urban belonging and passing the city’s culture on to future generations — the construction site of the open-air City Museum comprises the historic Metropolitan Municipality Building, Karaalioğlu Park (part of Antalya’s cultural heritage), the site of the demolished Atatürk Stadium and the indoor sports hall. The area next to the stadium that was used as an open car park is being redesigned as a public square, while the car parking moves underground. The 3-storey car park will have a capacity of 20 buses and 220 cars. The square will feature walkways, shade structures, seating areas and cafés. When the project is complete, the entire 31,500 m² former stadium site will become green space and a public square, merging with Karaalioğlu Park.
